Top Dog Day - South Australia/ Northern Territory

Top Dog Day is Guide Dogs SA.NT’s newest major fundraising event.  All funds raised through Top Dog Day activities assist guide dog puppies in training.
 
Our love of animals is not a surprise, and it’s this love of our own ‘Top Dogs’, our wonderful and faithful guide dogs, that has sparked Top Dog Day.  Celebrate your own Top Dog, be it the four-legged kind or the two-legged kind – someone at work, school or in your local community!

Not only is this a fun way for you to show your admiration of your own Top Dog, this annual celebration will help raise money to support blind and vision impaired
South Australians

Top Dog Day on Friday, 18 July, will culminate a month-long celebration of our Top Dogs – GUIDE DOGS!

How do I get involved?

It’s easy to be a Top Dog!

• Fill in the online form here to order your box of merchandise (you don’t have to pay up front, just order on consignment!)
• Sell the merchandise at your work, school, sports club or to your friends
• Send us the money you raised.

Where does the money go?

Money raised will go towards helping Ike, Ivan and Ikon, our three latest recruits on the Guide Dog Development Program. Their ultimate aim is to one day become guide dogs and help someone who is blind or vision impaired.

Schools

Is your school a Top Dog?
There are lots of ways for schools to be a part of Top Dog Day.  Here’s how:

Primary Schools

• Get a box of Top Dog Day merchandise sent out to you to sell at your school
• Ask your teacher to request a copy of the Guide Dogs Education Kit which has all kinds of fun activities to help you learn about vision impairments (primary school level)
• Have a casual clothes day during July for a gold coin donation
• Dress up as a dog or your favorite animal during July for a gold coin donation
• Sell Hot Dogs in your canteen during July for a gold coin donation

Secondary Schools

• Get a box of Top Dog Day merchandise sent out to you to sell at your school
• Have a casual clothes day during July for a gold coin donation
• Sell Hot Dogs in your canteen during July for a gold coin donation

Businesses

Is your business a Top Dog?
There are lots of ways for businesses to be a part of Top Dog Day.  Here’s how:

• Order a box Top Dog Day merchandise to sell around your office
• Turn your Friday night drinks or social club functions during July into a fundraiser
• Get permission for a casual clothes day with a gold coin donation for the privilege
• Ask your company to match every dollar you raise
• Sell Hot Dogs during July for a gold coin donation

What to do after Top Dog Day

Once you have sold all of (or as much product as you can) and collected money from any other events you may have held (casual clothes day or a lunch or afternoon tea) send us the funds raised by Friday 15 August 2008. 

There are several ways you can do this:

Bank. 
Take the money directly to the our bank partner using the deposit slips provided.  It’s important you use the deposit slips – without it we won’t know whom the money is from.

Cheque/money order.  
You can pay via a bank cheque or money order made out to Guide Dogs SA.NT and post to us in the envelope provided together with your Return Slip.

Credit Card. 
You can pay by credit card by entering your details and amount raised on the Return Slip and sending it back to us within the envelope provided. 

Complete the return slip and return this, along with any unsold products, to:
